Mohammed Shami Replaces Injured Jasprit Bumrah
When Bumrah was ruled out with an injury, Mohammed Shami made way into the T20 World Cup squad. He's been a mainstay for India in ODIs and Tournaments over recent years but more recently has taken up bowling again.

Jasprit Bumrah's injury has ruled him out of the Indian squad for their upcoming T20 World Cup, opening up a spot in 2020. Mohammed Shami was initially named on standby list but stress-related back pain caused by his recent surgery made it impossible to participate andfield at this time - soldering himself instead with an extended stay home until fully healed from last year’s Selection Procession Ban Campaign device problems which included stitches inside both elbows after being hit late during September where he broke down into tears saying “I am too old now."

The BCCI has named Mohammed Shami as Jasprit Bumrah's replacement in India’s ICC Men's T20 World Cup squad. The all-rounder will link up with the team ahead of their warm-up matches, which start on Saturday morning (AEST).

"Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur have been named as backups and will travel to Australia shortly."

Shami had last played in T20 Internationals during the last edition of ICC's World Cup. He was supposed to take part but tested positive for CIVID-19 and had been isolated from society until he could prove his fitness, which NCA approved after some convincing by officials. He has now proved himself as one who can deliver when called upon - playing 17 matches so far with 18 wickets taken along side it all.

Indian fast bowling line-up now includes Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel. Earlier this year former cricketers including Dilip Vengsarkar said they would have loved to see him (Shami) take part in the IPL tournament with Gujarat Titans picking 20 wickets for them at 18 runs per over while economy was 8 RPO - top performer of their team.
